WEEK 11 OVERVIEW
This week in the GT3 Sprint we arrive at sunny Valencia! Opened in 1999, the Circuit Ricardo Tormo is a short but exciting circuit at only 4km (2.5 miles) long, most famous for hosting the MotoGP Championship. The circuit provides an interesting challenge, with a blend of high speed and technical corners, demanding plenty from the car and driver. A well balanced car and being able to carry momentum through the corners is essential for a good lap time here.
For the GT3 Series this week, we take a trip to Donington Park! Donington Park was opened in 1933 and has held many memorable races, most famously being the scene for Ayrton Senna’s incredible first lap in 1993. Ayrton went from 5th to 1st in one wet lap, some say the greatest lap in F1 history. Donington Park is almost identical in length to the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, being 0.1km shorter, but still providing quite the challenge. With a fast and flowing sectors 1 and 2, Donington Park requires good balance from the car, so that you can commit yourself to every corner.
For this week, our drivers have created set ups for the following cars:
McLaren 720s GT3 EVO - Jeffrey Richie
Ford Mustang GT3 - Julian Sauer
Ferrari 296 GT3 - Kevin Taddei
BMW M4 GT3 - Florian Bauer
Aston Martin V8 Vantage - Julian Sauer
