Duncan Hofland is a 21-year-old F1 enthusiast for the past five years. Duncan's love for cars and motorsport goes way back to 2006 when, when he was four years old, he started with indoor go-karting. With each lap around the track, Duncan's passion and abilities grew stronger, which made him join competitive races at a young age.
However, like most young karting drivers. Duncan had a lot of issues with money throughout his career. But determined to find other alternatives that were less costly it led him into the virtual world of sim racing. Duncan discovered a platform and a wholesome community where he could improve and show his skills against fellow gamers from around the online world.
Duncan's massive dedication and talent was not unnoticed. In 2022, his appearance in the F1 Challenger Series caught the attention of Aston Martin, a very big brand in and outside the Formula 1 scene. They saw Duncan's potential, which resulted in an offer to become their official development driver for the next season.
As a development driver for Aston Martin Esports, Duncan plays a very crucial role in supporting and advising the main drivers on their performance. With a good eye for detail and a deep understanding of racing which came from his early karting days, Duncan knows how to analyze data to provide valuable insights to maximize driver performance on the virtual track. Whether it is tuning setups or creating strategies for races, Duncan's contributions are highly important to Aston Martin’s success in the simracing scene.
